Beach Fun

  • Nov. 29th, 2009 at 12:28 PM

I guess I am lucky to have a Big enough Truck to take 6 dogs and 2 humans to a fun day at the beach. Venita and I decided to take a trip to look at future camp-sites big enough for the dogs with room for them to romp on the beach. We headed to Nehalem Bay State Park...we stopped and played on the Beach..the dogs had a Blast. Here are a few pictures...

Central Oregon Old House Hunt

  • Nov. 22nd, 2009 at 4:16 PM

Yesterday I asked my Husband to take me on a photo Search for Old Houses in Central Oregon..He has done some Bird Hunting and was aware of a few houses, so off we went. We drove 350 miles round trip with all 3 dogs stopping many times for pictures, and fun. Some of my facebook friends have seen a few of the wonderful shots I had the opportunity to get...The weather was overcast which also was welcomed for the (old time effect. I will post a few and add the link if you would like to browse through my Website Album....

Cheri does Agility

  • Nov. 7th, 2009 at 5:28 PM

How I cleared the jump I will never know. I got the "Q" since I did not touch the jump or knock the bar....

I competed with Skor at the ASCA trial last week-end. There were 3 of his litter mates, 2 brothers from another litter and 2 puppies from his half sister. What fun to take pictures of them and do a little socializing. His breeder also attended and gave us some basic ear trimming lessons. I do Skor's and was happy to say she thought I did a pretty good job for someone with no training. Skor did very well. He completed his Novice Standard, Novice Gamblers, and Novice and Open Jumpers. He is such a good boy. I also have a very funny video that I will post this week-end...Hint..Who says a 50 something women can not jump 20"...It is very funny.

Here are some of the pictures I took

Walking in the wetlands

  • Sep. 26th, 2009 at 5:38 PM

I took the Boys to the Forest Grove wetlands for a long walk today. The weather was perfect and I wanted to see what the wetlands had to offer. Next time I will bring the telephoto lens but I took some good pictures of the dogs...

Skor's First Agility Trial..

  • Aug. 17th, 2009 at 7:42 PM

I entered Skor in the Wilsonville CPE trial this Saturday and I was very happy with his performance at level 2. His contacts were great,(I released him early a couple of times) my bad, but he hit every one. His start line was perfect and he knocked only one bar in Jackpot so we still Q'd. 5 runs 3 1st's and 2 2nd's. Here is the Video of the 3 runs I had someone tape for me.

Funmatch

  • Aug. 1st, 2009 at 6:23 PM

I took Skor out to do a run in the fun match. He is now 15 months old and will have his first trial (CPE) this month. I have to say he ran like a dream. I have trained a stop on the contacts and he was 100%. He did miss the up contact on the A-Frame so a bar on the ground quickly took care of that issue. We will have to work more on the ups. I am proud of my Blue Boy. Second on the Agenda was to get some pictures of Marylynn new Mini-Aussie Roper. He is a cute little guy and boy he can move. Barb was there with Meri so I got some pictures for her as well..I have to say Emma was looking Great!! She ran Great and the swimming pool is working wonders as she has noticeably lost weight. Here are some pictures. I had to put one in of Tedo and Skor....

I went over to check out the Carlton USDAA Trial to check out the site and take pictures. It was hot but I had fun taking pictures. The one of Kathy and her dog is so funny. What a nice trial it was. Everyone looked like they were having fun, even in the heat. Great job Karla and Bonnie for putting the trial together.

Beach Fun with the Family and Dogs

  • Jul. 17th, 2009 at 10:06 PM

We took my sister (from Texas) to the Oregon Coast (Gerhart) and played with the dogs. Tedo was obsessive about the Frisbee and spent his day keeping it away from all dogs and people. I took some action high flying shots. You can see that "Skor" my Blue Merle Aussie should have no problems jumping in Agility. He is now 15 months old.. Time sure passes quickly.

Vacation in Memphis (Zoo Pictures)

  • Jun. 19th, 2009 at 10:59 PM

Well I am the great State of Tennessee visiting my son and his family. We went to the Zoo in Memphis and I took some great pictures. The Zoo is much nicer than Oregon Zoo. You can get closer to the animals...

I have now started making collages of Agility Photos that I have taken pictures at. I have some made from the May Red Hot Rover Trial at the Argus ranch. I really want to start offering other stuff besides the normal
obstinate pictures. At Regionals I want to work on Jumping pictures from the front and side from take off to landing. This will give information that may be useful. I also want to capture personality and drive. Please let me know what you think.

I also have collages from the Fleet Feet indoor trial. These are inside and should not be blown up larger than 11x17 but are best at 8x10 due to the quality....Those of you that were at these trails and would like a collage please email me with the file #. I can incorporate pictures from both trials in one collage. Collages are only available on line unless I print a few to bring to the Regionals in 8x10 size. Pictures taken Outside can be blown up to any size you would like. They would also look nice on Rolled Canvas that is offered. Opinions gladly entertained (happily)

Before and After the Storm

  • Jun. 5th, 2009 at 7:40 AM

Well I wanted more pictures but the Storm hit our area only briefly. It did blow (Crap) everywhere so I had to wear glasses to go outside. Here are a few picture that I took. I wanted lightning but that did not happen here. The sunset was after the storm moved through.

Photo Shoot

  • May. 1st, 2009 at 9:32 PM

I did my first child photo shoot today in an outside natural setting. Wow, I did not realize how hard it is to take pictures of a 3 yr. old. My grandson is 2 but he is used to me taking pictures of him. Anyway the pictures turned out great and the recipient was very happy. I also took some flower shots in between child energy releases...

Skor and siblings 1 yr. birthday gathering

  • Apr. 25th, 2009 at 2:16 PM

Skor and his litter mates are now a year old. A group of us decided to meet at Champeog Park in Aurora. What a good time the pups had playing together. We also had a few dogs show up from Holly and Ketchem's first 2 litters. We had the Aussie Posse going on. I counted 13 Aussies, (3) were not related but joined in the fun anyway. Here are a few pictures.....

As I said in a previous post Skor did very well for a 12 month old puppy running in Pre-Novice Agility. It was a very smooth course and I was very proud of him. He went around a few jumps but one was coming out of the accelerator tube and I could not get there before he did. His contacts were awesome, solid start line stay, and even though I am only jumping him 12" he did not drop any bars.
